Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home which has a combined gross family income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and nsfas status need not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the nsfas check last day.
Learners do not have to wait check here for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
